Our planet is experiencing great stress and demonstrating an accelerated decline in many ways.
Experts agree that many of the negative changes can improve. That we need to make a number of important changes now. This includes reducing the use of fossil fuels, decreasing the amount of food waste, and by lowering the consumption of meats. By making things more sustainable.
Most people are surprised that our food choices impact the environment more than all other factors combined. The production of livestock has a heavy carbon footprint including greater greenhouse gas emissions, water consumption, land degradation, and deforestation.

In addition, the handling, transport and shelf life for safe consumption and disposal of animal meat is more costly. Resistance to this trend has been primarily due to the thought that plants don’t offer “complete” nutrition or that it is difficult to make plant-based foods taste good. However, this is not true and recent improvements in food technology have made enjoyment of plant-based family favourite food preferences possible. This includes burgers, spreads, cheese, sausages plus many others.
Global warming is probably the most widely discussed environmental concern, followed closely by world famine. In North America, we throw out 30% of available food each year. We also have 1 in 5 children hungry each day. If we could efficiently convert this food destined for waste into nutritious, edible products with a long shelf life; we could offer life-saving relief to many and positively impact the environment at the same time. This cycle of reducing food waste while creating healthy, nutrient-rich whole food powders is the essence of a sustainable nutrition model and it’s how we make our products.
There are very few companies in North America that make and blend whole plants into finely milled, protein-rich powders and other unique formulations. In fact, we represent less than 1% of the market. We see this as the best investment in our business and the planet. The proprietary process that we have developed to procure, freeze-dry, mill and create original formulations is unique for this industry. Our partners and loyal customers have helped make this possible and we are grateful for their continued support. We all share this one planet and if each of us makes small changes, the impact will be significant.
