Plants Strong Protein Waffles Recipe
1 cup all-purpose or whole wheat flour (both work well)
1/2 cup Plant Strong Vanilla Protein (you can try Plant Strong chocolate too!)
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups water
2-3 drops vanilla stevia (optional, for a sweeter waffle)
1 tablespoon oil (your choice, we love coconut oil)
Step 1: Combine dry ingredients in a medium mixing bowl (flour, Plant Strong Protein, baking powder, salt)
Step 2: In a separate bowl, combine wet ingredients (water, oil, stevia)
Step 3: Create a hole in the centre of the dry ingredients and pour in wet ingredient mixture
Step 4: Whisk until the batter comes together (do not whisk until smooth or else you will end up with lifeless waffles that haven’t worked out in a while…)
Step 5: Let the mixture set for 5-10 minutes (building muscle takes time)
Step 6: Scoop an appropriate amount into your waffle iron and cook until your waffle is fluffy with crispy edges
Step 7: Top with fresh fruit and your favourite maple syrup and ENJOY!
